1000 at Portsmouth Pensions Protest!‏

Yesterdays Pensions protest and march was brilliant. I estimate 1000 people joined us (see attached photos). This is the biggest trade union mobilisation in Portsmouth I can remember. We also had good support from pensioners, students and members of the public. It lays a very strong foundation for even bigger strike action to defend pensions in the Autumn, if the government don’t back down. Well done and thanks to everyone who went on strike yesterday and made the protest so big. It really was a collective effort, and we should all be proud of ourselves. Our movement took a massive step forward yesterday. Together we are stronger!
